Application of Hose Pumps in Chemical Dosing Plants

In chemical production, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and industrial chemical dosing systems, various chemical media such as acids, alkalis, flocculants, coagulants, and disinfectants need to be transported and dosed continuously, reliably, and accurately. With excellent corrosion resistance, strong self-priming capability, and good metering performance, hose pumps are well suited for a wide range of demanding chemical dosing applications.

In chemical dosing plants, hose pumps can be used for the transfer and dosing of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, ferric chloride, polyaluminum chloride (PAC), flocculants, sodium hypochlorite, and other chemical media. They are also suitable for certain chemical fluids containing solid particles, prone to crystallization, or having a certain degree of viscosity.

Typical Applications:

  • Transfer and dosing of acidic and alkaline media

  • Dosing of coagulants and flocculants

  • Transfer of polyaluminum chloride (PAC)

  • Transfer of chemicals such as ferric chloride

  • Dosing of disinfectants such as sodium hypochlorite

  • Transfer of pH adjustment chemicals

  • Transfer of chemicals between storage tanks

  • Precise dosing in chemical production processes
